यह पॉलिसी बताती है कि शुभदिन ऐप इस्तेमाल करते समय आपकी जानकारी के साथ क्या होता है।

शुभदिन आपका डेटा इकट्ठा नहीं करता। पूरा पंचांग आपके फ़ोन में ही गिना जाता है। न कोई सर्वर है, न कोई अकाउंट, न लॉगिन।

आपकी जन्म-जानकारी फ़ोन से बाहर नहीं जाती। जन्म की तारीख़, समय, जगह, राशि, नक्षत्र, और कुंडली मिलान के लिए सहेजे गए दूसरे लोगों के जन्म-विवरण — सब सिर्फ़ आपके फ़ोन में रहते हैं। ऐप इन्हें कहीं नहीं भेजता।

तीन चीज़ें फ़ोन से बाहर जाती हैं, और सिर्फ़ ये तीन:

1. जगह का नाम ढूँढ़ने पर — जब आप सेटिंग या शुरुआत में कोई जगह टाइप करते हैं, वह नाम आपके फ़ोन की अपनी नक़्शा-सेवा (Google) को भेजा जाता है ताकि उसके अक्षांश-देशांतर मिलें। 2. GPS से जगह लेने पर — जब आप "मेरी जगह लें" दबाते हैं, आपके निर्देशांक उसी सेवा को भेजे जाते हैं, सिर्फ़ इसलिए कि "वाराणसी" जैसा नाम दिखाया जा सके। गिनती इन निर्देशांकों से ही होती है, नाम सिर्फ़ दिखाने के लिए है। 3. विज्ञापनों के लिए — Google AdMob विज्ञापन दिखाने के लिए आपके फ़ोन की विज्ञापन-आईडी, आपका IP पता (जिससे मोटे तौर पर जगह का अंदाज़ा लगता है), ऐप में आपके टैप और कुछ डिवाइस जानकारी लेता है।

इनमें से पहली दो तभी होती हैं जब आप ख़ुद वह काम करते हैं। बंडल किए गए शहरों में से कोई शहर चुनने पर कुछ भी बाहर नहीं जाता, और ऐप बिना इंटरनेट पूरा चलता है।

बच्चों के लिए नहीं बनाया गया। यह ऐप 13 साल से कम उम्र के बच्चों के लिए नहीं है।

अपना डेटा हटाना: ऐप अनइंस्टॉल कर दें, या फ़ोन की सेटिंग में जाकर ऐप का डेटा मिटा दें। सब कुछ आपके फ़ोन में ही है, इसलिए वही काफ़ी है।

The short version

This Privacy Policy describes how Shubhdin ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

Shubhdin computes the panchang entirely on your device. There is no server, no account and no login. We do not collect, store or transmit your personal information.

What stays on your phone, always

All of the following is written only to your device's own storage and is never sent anywhere by this app:

• The place you choose, and its latitude and longitude
• Your rashi and birth nakshatra
• Birth details you enter — date, time and place — for a kundali, a match, a baby name or a

dasha

• Birth details of other people you save, for example the two sides of a marriage match.

You are responsible for having their agreement before entering them; we never see them.

• Your reminder settings, chosen language, text size and which tips you have dismissed

Every astronomical calculation runs on the device. The app works completely offline.

What leaves your phone — the complete list

1. A place name you type. When you search for a place in Settings, during setup, or when entering a birthplace, the text you type is sent to your device's own geocoding service (provided by Google) so it can return coordinates. This happens only while you are typing a search of three or more characters. Choosing one of the cities bundled with the app sends nothing.

2. Your coordinates, if you ask for your current location. If you tap the button to use your device's location, your approximate coordinates are sent to the same geocoding service for one purpose: to turn them into a name like "Varanasi" to show you. The panchang itself is computed from the coordinates on your device. If geocoding is unavailable the app shows the coordinates instead and everything still works.

3. Advertising data. The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob collects your device's advertising identifier and app set ID, your IP address (which can indicate your general location), how you interact with the app and its ads, and diagnostic information such as app performance, in order to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. This is Google's processing, under Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from partner apps, and you can limit it in your device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads.

That is the complete list. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, no Firebase, and no network code of our own anywhere in this app.

Permissions, and why each exists

Backup

Android may include a small amount of the app's preference data in your own device backup or in a device-to-device transfer, to your own Google account. That is Android's backup, not ours, and you control it in your device settings.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to show you, correct or delete. To remove everything the app holds, clear the app's data in your device settings or uninstall it. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we act as neither a Data Fiduciary nor a Data Processor of your personal data, since none reaches us.

Changes

If the app's data behaviour ever changes, this policy is updated in the same change, and the date at the top moves.

Notes for the Data safety form

The answers Play asks for. They were wrong here until 25 Sep 2026: this section declared only the advertising ID for AdMob, and Google's own disclosure for the SDK this app ships (play-services-ads 25.4.0, the "Legacy" SDK) lists five things it collects and shares. Under-declaring is the Data safety violation Play enforces; declaring what an SDK does is not optional because the SDK is Google's. Overview

• Does your app collect or share any of the required user data types? → Yes
• Is all of the user data collected by your app encrypted in transit? → Yes. Google states

the SDK's data goes over TLS, and the geocoder is a Google service over HTTPS.

• Do you provide a way for users to request that their data is deleted? → No. There is

no account and nothing reaches us to delete; the advertising ID is reset or deleted by the user in Android settings.

Data types — tick exactly these. "Shared" means sent to a third party (Google, for ads).

Not declared, and why: *Personal info* (no name, email or account — "account identifiers" in Google's list applies only to signed-in accounts, and there is no sign-in); *precise location* (only ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION is requested); *birth details and saved people* (never leave the device, so they are not collected in Play's sense).

What writing this found

The app's own Settings page claimed, under Privacy: *"Everything is computed on your phone. No internet is needed and your location is never sent anywhere."*

The first sentence is true. The other two are not, and they are not true for a small reason: PlaceNames.describe() sends the device's coordinates to the OS geocoder to turn them into a readable name, and PlaceSearch sends a typed place name to the same service. Both are Google network calls. Ads are a third.

On an app whose entire positioning is that it discloses what other apps hide, an inaccurate privacy claim is the worst possible thing to be wrong about — and it is the kind of claim a reviewer or a careful user can check. The wording was corrected in the same change that added this file.
